The sphere is representative of an individuals relationship to the universe and the compass figure represents that individuals ability to find center and circumscribe his or her own path.

This sculpture was designed as a walk through entrance to the front courtyard of Windham Regional Voc-Tech School. Adjacent to the compass figure is a spherical form doubling as a bench.
