"As a sculptor I often create objects in a group or series based on a poetic narrative. The pieces suggest a mood or tone rather than tell a story.

"My most recent small sculptures are primitive bronze castings. I discovered this technique as quite immediate and it lends itself to my need to work quickly.

"I enjoy mixing the metals, hammering, fabricating and so on. Many are maquettes that are scaled up later. All are objects intended to enhance your home, office or outdoor patio."

HOMAGE to the EARTH
53" x 27" x 12" - cast bronze, 2005

"Best known for his steel abstracts of organic forms, Boyajian revisits his figurative roots with primitive bronze castings that are more frontal than three-dimensional. They depict mythic, religious and personal themes. The result is this cycle of table top-sized bronze pieces."
